        Biorhythm Theory states that every person is influenced by three biological cycles -

    crossing its zero point midway through its period.  The remainder of each cycle is a negative

Headache-Free

        HEADACHE-FREE is an informational program consisting of five sections completely
    devoted to headaches.  The first section offers a few words about the different types of
    headaches and offers a comparison between migraine and cluster headaches.  A second
    section consists of a quiz on, among other subjects, migraines, cluster headaches, tension
    headaches, etc.  The next two sections cover possible cures - acupuncture, Alexander
    Technique, astrology, hypnosis, etc.  A final summary section is also provided.

Insulin

        The INSULIN program package includes four programs - INSULIN, MAKEFILE, BOTTLE,
    and NO6 & NO7.  INSULIN may be used to test whether insulin is properly being measured.
    Users are asked to measure ten doses of insulin using U100 insulin.  The MAKEFILE program
    allows the user to enter the ten doses to be tested by in the above INSULIN program.  The
    BOTTLE program permits users to regulate IV rates, and the NO6 & NO7 programs allow users
    to set the IV pump to a proper rate to deliver a calculated dose of medication.

Kinetics

        KINETICS is an easy to use menu-driven program designed to aid physicians in setting
    drug dosages for their patients.  KINETICS combines comprehensive data-base features and
    the following drug dosing protocols into one program :  aminoglycosides, heparin, renally
    excreted drugs, theophylline, and vancomycin.  Features include printable chart ready consult
    form, 32,000-patient database (shareware version holds six patients), display and printing of

    solution and administration sets; etc.

Pregnant

    with unstable menstrual cycles get pregnant.  With continued distribution and use of this program,

    in his/her daily practice by producing printed prescriptions for patients.  Most physicians will
    find that after becoming familiar with the operation of PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANT, producing
    computer-generated prescriptions will be as fast or faster than writing them by hand.  Other
    advantages of the program-generated prescriptions include speed, legibility, documentation,
    security, and versatility.

    System Requirements :  Minimum system requirements for the operation of
    PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANT are as follows :  IBM PC, XT, or compatible computer with two
    floppy disk drives or one floppy drive and one hard disk drive;  MS-DOS 2.0 or later operating
    system;  printer capable of printing ten characters per inch on continuous paper.

Slimmer

        The SLIMMER program package is a weight reduction program for those with high blood
    cholesterol.  Among other things, SLIMMER will do the following :  calculate user's ideal weight;
    calculate user's ideal calorie requirement;  keep track of user's weight and calorie intake and
    plot the corresponding progress;  provide an extensive look-up database of food types with
    their corresponding calorie values; etc.

    System Requirements :  SLIMMER requires a computer with at least 285K of memory in
    which to load.  If the computer has a math co-processor, SLIMMER will use it.  SLIMMER can be
    run on one and two-disk systems, but runs fastest when loaded to and run from a hard
    disk-equipped system.

Stress Test

        The STRESS TEST program consists of a questionaire of 20 stress related statements.
    For each statement, users respond with a number from one to five, corresponding to the
    frequency or intensity of the statement as it pertains to the user.  After all questions have been
    completed, the program outputs a value between one and 100, corresponding to the level of
    stress encountered by the user.

Why You Smoke

        The WHY YOU SMOKE program consists of twenty questions related to smoking
    behavior.  The program rates the user's responses to determine whether his/her smoking is
    caused by stimulation, handling, accenuation of pleasure, reduction of negative feelings,

    access several useful analysis sub-programs, including Exercise, Inspect, Analyze, Protein
    Analysis, etc.  From the Exercise program, users can calculate an estimate for calories
    expended per hour for specied exercises.  The Inspect program allows users to view
    nutritional values of any food in the YOUR PERSONAL NUTRITIONIST database.  The
    Analyze program identifies a person's minimum daily requirements (MDR's) and
    recommended daily allowances (RDA's) for a variety of vitamins.  And the Protein Analysis
    program permits a user to adjust protein intake by adding or subtracting foods from a meal
    plan.  YOUR PERSONAL NUTRITIONIST also supports hard-copy output onto convenient
    4 x 6 inch index cards.

        The A_CURSE2 program will display from one to ten "curses" on the monitor screen.
    These curses are of the form "May [A$] [S$] [V$] your [O$]" where A$, S$, V$, and O$ are
    randomized adjectives, subjects, verbs, and objects, respectively.  Examples include  "may
    demented yuppies assault your Toyota" and "may ten thousand camels spit on your keyboard"
    There are over TEN BILLION possible combinations of such curses.  A practical joke option is
    included with the program - when activated, any person attempting to use the computer will be
    cursed.

Babble!
                        Load PGM1878

        The BABBLE! program is a toy for people who love words.  This program babbles
    endlessly in an unlimited number of writing styles, in a more or less unintelligible prose.  The
    user controls which styles are babbled, or he/she can mix different styles together.  BABBLE!
    is fun to play with, solo or as part of a group.  It comes with neat samples like Shakespeare,
    Dick and Jane, and Firesign Theater, and includes a plethora of special effects like Lisp,
    Hangman, and Subliminal, as well as the ever-surprising Pot Luck.  Users can even import
    their own text samples.

    System Requirements :  It doesn't take much to run Babble! - a PC-compatible with at
    least 400K of memory (it can run with less memory, but you may not be able to load and mix the
    larger text samples), some sort of disk drive, and any text display.

Backtalk
                        Load PGM1879

        BACKTALK is a "funware" concept program which represents the computer as an
    obnoxious free-thinking entity.  When executed, the program displays a DOS prompt on the
    screen.  However, any input into the computer will result in a "backtalk" statement.

Crazy DOS
                        Load PGM1880

        CRAZY DOS is a practical joke "replacement" for DOS with some interesting responses
    to commands.  CRAZY DOS is not harmful to the computer - there are some alarming looking
    "error messages", but the user should not worry, there are no aliens, molasses, or problems
    reading drive Q:.  All "system crashes", "Chinese  keyboards", etc. are imaginary and temporary,
    and can be ended by a keypress in some cases, or with <enter> in others.  CRAZY DOS can
    either be     run just for fun, or it can be installed on an unsuspecting user's computer.

    System Requirements :   CRAZY DOS has been tested on a variety of machines, ranging
    from a     4.77 Mhz 8088 generic slug to a 20 Mhz 80386 speed demon.  These machines have been
    equipped with almost every type of monitor and card known to man (sorry, no text only cards).
    CRAZY DOS requires AT LEAST 86,800 bytes of free RAM, and AT LEAST one floppy drive.

Curses!
                        Load PGM1881

        CURSES! is a humorous, creative "insult generator", with a different twist - a single
    keystroke can switch the program output from insults to compliments.  Randomly-generated
    phrases originate from a main database which the user creates himself.  A main menu options
    screen allows users to add and delete any word to/from this database.

Deceive

        Have you ever been in the middle of a great game (or balancing your checkbook, or
    updating your resume) and had your boss appear behind you?  What did you do?  Reboot?
    Attempt to block the screen with your body?  Get fired?  Well now there's a better way!
    DECEIVE allows you to instantly pause the program you're using and display a screen of
    your choice.  With the push of a key that incriminating arcade game can be transformed into
    a spreadsheet, word processor, or anything else you desire.

    System Requirements :  DECEIVE requires DOS 2.0 or greater and uses about 40K of
    memory.

DOS-Joke

        DOS-JOKE is a humorous practical joke program which simulates the MS-DOS
    command line, but with an unexpected comedic twist.  When activated, DOS-JOKE takes
    over control of the computer, and any input will result in a rude comment in real human
    speech through the PC-speaker.  DOS-JOKE is ideal for playing jokes on friends, family,
    and co-workers.

Floormatter
                        Load PGM1883

        THE FLOORMATTER is a practical joke program which mimics the DOS operating
    system.  Any input into the program's "DOS" will result in a message indicating a hard drive
    format operation.  If scanned, the program will be found to contain very scary messages, but     it
    is not a Trojan or a virus program.  THE FLOORMATTER program will not harm data.  Disk
    activity is the result of writing dummy files  which are then deleted.  The dummy files are
    created with unique file names which do not already exist in the current directory.

Hard at Work
                        Load PGM1884

        HARD AT WORK is a practical joke program which ties up your computer with a very
    important-looking task so that you can take a break.  When you start HARD AT WORK, it
    selects one of seven routines at random - System Testing and Realignment, Virus Check,
    System Overheated, Spreadsheet Activity, Sorting and Re-Indexing, Optimizing the Hard Disk,
    and Testing the Speaker.  You can pick your favorite routine by pressing the appropriate
    function key. The activity on screen looks too important to be interrupted - if someone does try
    to interrupt the action by pressing ESC or <CTRL><C>, a "DANGER!" message pops up, and
    a tone alerts you.  The routine continues until you select something different with a function key,
    or until you exit the program by pressing <ALT><C>.

Hit Any Key

        The HIT ANY KEY humor program consists of a 4-frame animation sequence of a large
    duck destroying a computer with a sledge hammer.  Put it in your AUTOEXEC.BAT to put a
    smile on your face in the morning;  slip it into your friend's computer to put a smile on his face.

Hot-Boot
                        Load PGM1886

        HOT-BOOT is designed to play practical jokes.  The program can be set up when the
    victim walks away from his/her idling PC for a break.  Eight different practical jokes may be
    chosen from - Are You Sure?, Ghost Writer, Billboard, Alarming, Alphabet Soup, Accelerator,
    Happy Hacker II, and Fireworks.  HOT-BOOT is completely safe and easy to use;  instructions

        Like all filters, JIVE uses MS-DOS filters and pipes to process input from the standard

    recipes.  Essentially, it is the electronic equivalent of the real cookbook in which all recipes
    are kept.  Since it facilitates organization and printing, the program may also be used in the
    preparation of cookbooks for publication.

        If you can type, you no longer have to deal with disorganized slips of paper and
    clippings thrown together in a drawer or box, only to be frustrated when you can't find that
    particular recipe that you remember you had, except you can't remember where it is, or what
    the precise name of it is.  ECB will take care of the tedious part, so you can get on with the
    real work, good cooking.

    of the different kinds of food served.  And for each different food, the program lists a summary
    of various nutritional data on that particular food - calories, protein, fat, cholesterol, and a
    "gloom" rating.  This "gloom" rating provides a quick summary of the overall nutritional value
    of a food.  In general, the lower the "gloom" rating, the higher the nutritional content of the food.

        The RECIPE INDEX SYSTEM (RIS) is designed to track recipe ingredients.  Data
    maintenance functions are provided to enter the recipe information, and a special Search
    function lets users find those recipes that contain specific ingredients.  In addition, users can
    associate styles and categories with recipes, and search for recipes that are of a certain type
    and contain the desired ingredients.

        The most common use of this software is by people who have many cookbooks, and
    food journals.  They enter into RIS the name of the recipes they like, the ingredients, a source
    (name of book) for the recipe, and category and style fields.  When they use the Search
    function to look for recipes that meet certain criteria, the source information is used to find
    complete details about the recipe.

Vino

    demonstration visible to people in the back of a conference room or classroom).  BPOP's
    choice of magnification include enlargements of 10, 20, 26, 40, or 53 characters per line.

B-Ware
                        Load PGM1985

        The B-WARE program package consists of a family of software products that bring
    large character displays to DOS text.  Included in the package are B-DIR, B-LOOK, B-PRINT,
    and B-TYPE.  B-TYPE, B-DIR, and B-PRINT are large-character replacements for the
    corresponding DOS commands.  B-PRINT prints text files in large characters on Epson
    compatible dot-matrix printers.  The B-LOOK program is a text file browser which utilizes the
    B-WARE large character display style.  All B-WARE programs use characters that are eight
    columns wide and four rows deep.  On monochrome displays, which do not support graphics,
    this is the only option available.  However, on video hardware which can display graphics,

    designed database used primarily for holding information on a video tape collections.  Each
    video tape record maintains ten different fields, including tape #, title, start/end #, etc.
    Records can be retrieved, added, edited, and filtered (sorted - ie, the database can be filtered
    to remove all rated-R videos).  In addition, a variety of different reports can be generated.

Big-123
                        Load PGM1987

        The BIG-123 program is a memory-resident (TSR) context-sensitive display enlarger
    specially designed for use with Lotus 1-2-3.  After loading BIG-123 through the DOS command
    line,  BIG remains inactive until it determines that Lotus 1-2-3 is being used.  The program then
    enlarges part of the 1-2-3 display - the part it enlarges depends on the state of 1-2-3.  For
    example, when 1-2-3 displays an error message, BIG-123 automatically enlarges the bottom

    System Requirements :  THE COLLEGE BOUND ADVISOR requires an IBM PC or
    compatible with 512kB of memory, and running MS-DOS version 3.0 or later.  Also required

dB-VCR

        The dB-VCR program package is a video cassette database system for use with an
    IBM or compatible personal computer.  dB-VCR will allow users to maintain a database of all
    their VCR tapes, complete with titles, comments, where each entry starts on each tape,
    starring actor and actress names, plus plenty more.  dB-VCR is fully menu-driven and includes
    a variety of powerful database features, some of which rival those of more expensive
    commercial systems.

    System Requirements :  dB-VCR is designed for IBM and compatible computers and
    operates under PC or MS DOS Version 2.0 or higher with at least one floppy drive or a hard
    disk drive.  dB-VCR requires at least 320kB RAM (depending on the version of DOS being

    catalog;  price lists.  Several example catalog systems are also included with the package.

Disk Drive-In-Theater

        The DISK DRIVE-IN-THEATER program package is a database manager for video
    tape collections.  Database record entries include fields for title and subtitle, style and
    category     of movie, director, publisher, and star of taping, tape number, counter start and stop
    positions, tape speed, stereo, tape quality, etc.  All standard database functions (ie, add,
    change, and delete) are supported.  In addition, DISK DRIVE-IN-THEATER includes an
    elaborate report generator and a useful label printer.

    memory;  at least one 360kB disk drive, with a hard drive recommended; optional support for

For Record Collectors

        The FOR RECORD COLLECTORS package is a database management system
    specifically designed for collectors, broadcasters, and other people with music collections.
    The program makes cataloging a music collection easy;  it allows users to find songs that
    may have been virtually unidentifiable previously; and it provides a permanent, easy to update
    catalog of a collection.  Using an IBM PC (or compatible) computer, and the FOR RECORD
    COLLECTORS, users can catalog and find songs by title, artist, label, producer, or any of 19
    other traits.  Users can also easily find songs using complex multiple cross references (for
    example, the program could find all of the rock ballads, that made the top 20 in 1978, that contain
    the word "FIRE" in the title, are good to dance to, and are between 2:30 and 2:39 minutes long).

        The HOME MOVIE LIBRARIAN program is a database manager to be used to keep
    track of home video collections.  Main menu options include Master Movie Listing, Movie
    Types, Tape Contents, Movie Listing by Cast, and Reports.  The Reports option is capable of
    generating a variety of useful reports, including Personal Library List sorted by Title, Personal
    Library List sorted by Tape #, and Master Movie List sorted by Title.  For ease-of-use, an

Learn To Sign

        The LEARN TO SIGN package is a tutor program aimed at teaching the American Sign
    Language.  There are seven choices from the main screen :  Letters will allow the user to view
    the sign for a particular letter or number;  the Words option will allow the user to finger spell a
    word a letter at a time;  Textfile will read in a standard ASCII text file and display it one letter at a
    time;  Quiz will show a sign for a particular letter wait for an appropriate response;  the Dictionary

XWord

        The XWORD program is a fast, flexible, and compact menu-driven crossword puzzle
    toolkit for the IBM PC and compatibles.  Program features include the following :  a define
    function permits entry of puzzle title and size, from 15x15 (NY Times daily) to 23x23 (NY Times
    Sunday), with a default of 21x21; by means of the cursor, words may be entered in any order
    and in any location of the puzzle grid;  words may be rubbed out from any location, but they
    are saved to a "move" list and can be recovered and placed in another location.  While
    XWORD is designed to be easy to use, the present release is intended for serious crossword
    puzzle creators.

    DOS 2.1, or later;  96 kB, over and above DOS and any resident programs, should be
