An Application Monitor opens to show the progress of the trace. When the trace operation ends, an Analyze Trace window opens with a choice of five views:
- Execution Density window (not shown)
- Dynamic Call Graph window (see steps 5 to 10)
- Call Nesting window (see steps 11 to 14)
- Time Line window (see steps 15 to 18)
- Statistics window (see steps 19 to 20)
A trace file (oview.trc) has also been created. Trace files can become large and difficult to manage. You can limit the amount of data collected in the trace file by selecting specific components to enable or disable during the trace operation.
