The Performance Analyzer begins by displaying a Window Manager and a Trace Generation window. The Window Manager is the control window of the Performance Analyzer. You can start most functions from this window. It also lists the executable filenames, the trace file, and each open Performance Analyzer view.
The Trace Generation window lists the filenames of the preloaded components (EXE, DLL, OBJ, or a function) in the program. EXE and DLL files contain OBJ files, and OBJ files contain functions. From this window, you can control which parts of your program are traced.
