The contents of the editing window changes to show only lines containing the selected type of programming element. Other lines are not discarded; they are only hidden from view. This feature lets you easily view selected aspects of program structure without the distraction of other code that is not of interest to you.
You can also choose to view other distinct parts of a program's code. Choices available to you in the View menu will vary according to the type of program you are editing.
