  10. Welcome to ZAURUS Filer Folder Export.
  11.  
  12. Filer Folder Export allows you to access the data contained in a Zaurus
  13. Filer folder file on your PC. Typically, you have received such a file as
  14. an attachment to an e-mail message which was originated by a Zaurus user.
  15. Such an attachment is essentially useless without some means to read the
  16. file and save it's contents in a format which is useful to typical PC
  17. applications (the native Zaurus Filer format is not useful to most PC
  18. applications). This is exactly the void that this utility is designed to
  19. fill.

  33. Program Installation
  34. ====================

  36. Note: By default, Zaurus Filer Folder Export creates a program group 
  37.       (Windows 3.1) or Program menu item (Windows 95) called "Zaurus
  38.       Utilities". Since this is the same name used by Zaurus Data Exchange
  39.       Utility, if you have ZDEU installed, Filer Folder Export's program
  40.       icons will be added to ZDEU's.

  42. Windows 3.1:
  43.  
  44. 1. Choose RUN from Program Manager's FILE menu.
  45. 2. Type the path and file name for the Filer Folder Export SETUP program
  46.    in the Command Line box. For example, if you downloaded Filer Folder
  47.    Export to C:\TEMP, you would type C:\TEMP\SETUP.
  48. 3. Click the OK button or press ENTER.
  49. 4. Read the Software License Agreement. You must agree to the
  50.    terms of the agreement before installing Filer Folder Export. Click on
  51.    OK to continue with the installation.
  52. 5. Read the Readme file. Click on OK to continue.
  53. 6. Choose the drive and directory where you want ZAURUS Filer Folder
  54.    Export installed.
  55. 7. After the files are copied, you are prompted for a program group name.
  56.    You may accept the default of "Zaurus Utilities", enter
  57.    a new name, or select an existing program group. Click on OK to 
  58.    complete the installation.

  62. 1. Choose Control Panel from the Settings menu in the Start menu.
  63. 2. Double click on Add-Remove Programs in Control Panel.
  64. 3. Click on the Install button in the Add/Remove Programs Properties 
  65.    dialog.
  66. 4. If Zaurus Filer Folder Export is on a diskette, place the diskette 
  67.    in the floppy drive. Click on the Next button.
  68. 5. If the proper setup files was not found by Windows 95, enter the path
  69.    and program name for Zaurus Filer Folder Export. For example, if you 
  70.    copied Zaurus Filer Folder to C:\TEMP then enter C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE.
  71. 6. Click on the Finish button.
  72. 7. Read the Software License Agreement. You must agree to the
  73.    terms of the agreement before installing Filer Folder Export. Click on
  74.    OK to continue with the installation.
  75. 8. Read the Readme file. Click on OK to continue.
  76. 9. Choose the drive and directory where you want ZAURUS Filer Folder
  77.    Export installed. The program files will be copied, and a new Programs
  78.    menu selection called "Zaurus Utilities" will be added to your Start
  79.    menu.
