- -- CompuServe Companion for Zaurus Plug-in Addendum --
-
- Welcome to the CompuServe Companion for Zaurus plug-in. This plug-in adds
- three new features to your built-in CompuServe Companion software; Weather,
- Stock Quotes, and Auto Pilot. Please read all of the instructions below
- before using this software. These instructions are meant to supplement the
- CompuServe section of your ZR-5700/5800 instruction manual.
-
- Note: This software plug-in is for ZR-5700 and ZR-5800 users only. ZR-5000
- users should purchase the ZR-5C03 CompuServe software.
-
- - Installing the CompuServe Companion Plug-in (From a PC) -
-
- Installation requirements:
- To install this software, you need the following:
- > An IBM compatible PC running DOS version 3.3 or higher with 512KB of available
- memory or a PC running Windows 3.1/95.
- > A cable or infrared adaptor that connects the PC to your ZR-5700/5800
- > One serial port (COM1 or COM2).
-
- You can install add-on software into Zaurus main memory, an SRAM memory
- card, or a FLASH memory card.
-
- Memory requirements:
- > About 300K of available memory on your Zaurus or memory card (once
- installed, it only takes up about 250K of memory).
- > At least 64K of additional available memory from your Zaurus main
- memory is required for installation.
-
- Installing the software:
- 1. Make a directory on your hard drive called "CCZPLUG".
- 2. Move the install.exe, flasinst.dat, and cczpv101.zpm files to this
- directory.
- 3. From within this directory, Type INSTALL and then press Enter.
- 4. Check the options, pressing S if you need to change them.
- 5. Put the Zaurus into PC-Link mode and connect the cable or IR adaptor
- 6. Press Y to begin the installation. This will take about 10 minutes.
-
- Note: To find out the available memory of the program area on a FLASH
- memory card touch MORE then select IC Card. If the available memory is not
- enough, perform the delete operation. If no program area is set when a FLASH
- memory card is initialized, the Add-on software cannot be installed.
-
- - Using the new features -
-
- Once installed, you will see a new CompuServe icon in the S'Ware section of
- MORE. This icon is here simply to let you know it is installed and to allow
- you to delete this plug-in if desired. You cannot, however, run this
- software by tapping on it (as you normally do for Zaurus add-on software
- programs). You simply run CompuServe from the TOOLS section as you normally
- would and if this plug-in is installed, the new features will automatically
- appear.
-
- Note: If you install this CompuServe Companion Plug-in on a memory card and
- the remove the card, the new features (Weather, Quotes, and Auto Pilot) will
