  24. Please install the on-line help as this is a very in-depth
  25. guide to all of the programs features.  I don't like long
  26. read me files because people tend to just skip them and end
  27. up not knowing how to use the program.   To this end I've
  28. tried to keep the file as short and as small as possible.
  29. This means that none of the features are explained and that
  30. there is no in-depth  "how to use me" guide.  However, all
  31. of this is in the file "TimeMan.hlp" and if you want to know
  32. how to use TimeMan then you NEED to install the help, after
  33. all, once you get the hang of it the help can be deleted later!

  35. NEW USER INSTALLATION
  36. *********************
  37. Put TimeMan.opa in the \APP directory on any drive.  Then create
  38. a directory called M:\TIMEMAN\ and into this put the conversion file
  39. (Timeman.cnv).  If you like, you can create this directory on another
  40. disk too and then add the help file to it.  The help file can go on
  41. any disk, as can the .OPA but all the ini files and the conversions
  42. file MUST go on drive M (Internal).  Then install Timeman using
  43. Psion+I from the System Screen.
  44.     Files called "Timeman.ini" and "Reminder.ini" will be created
  45. in the \TIMEMAN directory of the Internal drive, these holds all
  46. of the crucial settings.  WHEN you register a file called
  47. "Timeman.reg" is placed in the \TIMEMAN directory so that the
  48. program recognises you as a kind-hearted, registered user!

  50. UPGRADING FORM EARLIER VERSIONS

  52. To do this, you must very simply do the following.  Overwrite the
  53. TimeMan.opa and TimeMan.hlp files from their old destinations.
  54. The upgrade tracker will handle the rest so sit back and watch it!
  55. If you were using v3.3 before, then all of your old settings can
  56. be salvaged.  If you tested a beta copy or using v3.41F, the
  57. settings are not changed so no major alterations will be made.

  66. About the Prog

  68. I wrote this prog because I wanted to have a collection of general
  69. time management utilities.  After much development (spending far
  70. much more time than I should have done on the code), I thought
  71. that the program was in an acceptable state to be publically
  72. released, and more importantly, to be of use to other 3a users.   
  73. Now, TimeMan has become a sort of "Swiss Army Knife" of applications,
  74. with many very useful features all grouped under 1 shell.

  78. P.K.Spencer is a 16 year old from Aylesbury.  I have
  79. very little OPL experience and I'm learning to write
  80. programs. This is one of my first attempts and I have now managed
  81. to reach quite an advanced level, this version is wildly superior to
  82. any earlier versions. The Prog appears to have no bugs but if you
  83. find any or have any comments/suggestions for future versions then

  102. In the unregistered version I have kept back a few items 
  103. as an incentive to register.  Firstly there are some nag
  104. screens that appear, next you can only have analog clocks
  105. and not digital - I have found that digital clocks are 
  106. more popular.  Apart from this, the rest of the
  107. program is fully working so use, enjoy, REGISTER :-)

  111. TimeMan v3.42F is distributed as Shareware.  To register
  112. the program on Compuserve, GO SWREG 11633, otherwise you
  113. must:
  114.  
  115. Send 8 UKP OR a foreign currency equivalent PLUS 10% to
  116. my Snail-Mail address with either your E-Mail address or
  117. with a an SAE.  This will enable me to send you your
  118. personalised Key-Code to unlock the program's features
  119. and banish the nags forever. 
  120.     When registered you will be entitled to any future
  121. upgrades FREE, if you have E-Mail access then I'll mail you
  122. to tell you when or before they're released.  You also get
  123. a direct say in future developments and more importantly
  124. a clear mind. 8 UKP isn't a lot to register and it'll help me
  125. develop future versions (and other programs). I don't have much
  126. time free as I'm doing my GCSE's so I need an incentive :-)

  128. How to Use TimeMan
  129. ******************
  130. The first time you run TimeMan you will be presented
  131. with 6 world clocks, this is essentially the main interface
  132. of the program, although there are far more features to it and 
  133. you can also alter the interface via the diamond key.
  134. AT ANY TIME YOU CAN CONSULT THE ON-LINE HELP (providing it's
  135. present) FOR MORE INFO.    These clocks display 6 different times
  136. for 6 different places in the world - allowing you to view 6
  137. places consequtively, something the 3a doesn't do normally.
  138. The times ARE NOT taken from the World database as this allows
  139. the user more freedom and you can enter places on a more
  140. regional basis, this I have found to be of more use. From within
  141. the program there is the menu that has lots of different features
  142. accesable from it.  Most of them are fairly self-evident and by
  143. accessing them you can usually work out what to do, however the
  144. help file contains full explanations
