  4. program for the Agenda Application of the Psion S3a AND S3c.
  5. It has been written in OPL and will work ONLY on the
  6. Psion 3a/3c - NOT the new Siena Models

  42. Installation
  43. ************
  44. This is very straight foreward, simply put the .OPA you
  45. need in any directory (on any disk), preferably \app,
  46. and use Psion-I from the system screen to install it.
  47. Before installation, you MUST remove the Psion's own
  48. Agenda App (Psion and / over the app's icon) so that
  49. any unsuspecting person would think that my prog is the
  50. real Agenda App and also because both programs report the
  51. same name ("Agenda") to the System.  From then on treat
  52. it as the normal Agenda App.  If you have a Psion 3a, use
  53. "PASAGN3A.OPA", if you have a new Psion 3c, use "PASAGN3C.OPA"

  58. *A un-ambiguos file named Agenda.ini will be created in    *
  59. *the \OPD directory of your internal drive.  This stores   *
  60. *the password you have chosen. However, since the password *
  61. *is encrypted, it's not as un-safe as it sounds!           *

  64. About the Prog

  66. I wrote this prog because I wanted to have some form
  67. of protection for the Agenda App on my Psion. Simple
  68. as that really.  I then thought that once I had got it
  69. into an acceptable state that it would be of use to 
  70. other Psion users

  74. P.K.Spencer is a 16 year old from Aylesbury.  He has
  75. very little OPL experience and is learning to write
  76. programs. This is one of his first attempts. The Prog
  77. appears to have no bugs but if you find any or have any
  78. comments/suggestions for future versions then I welcome

  97. ***********
  98. PassAgn 1.81F is distributed as Shareware.  To register
  99. on Compuserve, GO SWREG 11899 or send 5 UKP to the
  100. above address with either your E-Mail address so I can
  101. mail the code to you or with a an SAE. This code will
  102. disable the nag screens, pauses, etc. 5 UKP isn't a lot
  103. to register and it'll help me develop future versions
  104. (and other programs). I don't have much time free as
  105. I'm doing my GCSE's so I need an incentive :-)

  107. How to Use PassAgn
  108. ******************
  109. The first time you run PassAgn you will be asked for a
  110. password you wish to use and also to re-enter the same
  111. password for confirmation.  You will then be passed on
  112. to the start-up screen.  This is the screen you will
  113. encounter from now on when you enter the program again.
  114.     Here you will have to enter the password you
  115. defined before. You have the option to configure.  If you
  116. select NO - Agenda will be launched with the file chosen
  117. or created from SYSTEM.  If you select YES - you get passed
  118. to the menu.
  119.     The options here are a)Start Agenda b) change
  120. password and c)Delete Agenda File (all under the "Agenda"
  121. menu card.) These are fairly self-explanatory.  When you
  122. select "Start Agenda", Agenda is launched as before with the
  123. selected file from the System Screen.
  124.     The next Card (called registration) allows you
  125. to either enter the registration key code or read how
  126. you go about registering.
  127.     Finally is the "Special" Card.  Here you'll
  128. find the about screen, the help and the exit command. 
  129. From then on everything is very simple :-)  FULL, ONLINE
  130. HELP IS AVAILABLE BY PRESSING HELP AT ANY TIME IN THE
  131. MENU OR CONFIGURE SCREEN.
  132.     NOTE: If you switch away from the configure screen
  133. then PassAgn requires you to re-enter the PassWord.

  137. -PassAgn provides a user defined password that blocks 
  138. entry to the Agenda program if a person trys to access 
  139. it via my app
  140. -Easy changing of the password for your convenience
  141. -Stops new .AGN files being created without the normal
  142. password

  144. -Password encryption - the only (AFAIK) prog of its type
  145. available at the moment to do so!

  150. Have you tried TimeMan?  This excellent and easy to use collection
  151. of Time related/time managment utilities proves useful to almost
  152. every Psion user.  The latest version is 3.42F and the .zip is only
  153. about 40K - so why not download it from all the usual sources and
  154. of course from my wwb page - go one, give it a try!
