V_Base, is a data base program for storing your film data. You can search a maximum of 3 criteria, at a time, your data can also be password protected, if you, so desire.
Instructions
I have tried to make this program as similar to other series 3 applications as possible, so making the program easer to use and more user friendly.
A maximum of 4 films can be stored on one tape.
From the main menu you can use the Menu key, or short cut keys, as in normal series 3a applications. The options are as follows.
Main Menu
Find : You can use this to search, up to 3 search criteria at a time.
Add : to add a new tape to your database.
Delete : to delete a tape from database.
Update : to update tape number and time left on tape.
ShowFilm : to show more details on films.
Password : to enter / change password.
Exit : I've forgotten !!!
Show Film
Notes : displays notes, if any.
Artist : show artist, if any.
Update : enter / update film data. ( Press ENTER on notes / artist to up date )
Delete : to delete current film data.
ShowTape : return to main menu.
The left & right arrow keys are used to move through the films/tapes. The black diamond key moves you back and forth through the Main Menu and ShowFilm.
Please note, if you run out of memory, you will have to close some applications, then run V_Base twice, re-entering your password, if any.
The data file used by V_Base is stored as M:\DAT\Video.dbf, so making it more accessible, for deletion, etc. If you have a file in the same directory with the same name, you will have to rename the file. The file is not accessible via Data.
