  5. There are two files in this archive:
  6.  
  7.    std.txt - you're reading it
  8.    std.dbf - a Data file
  9.  
  10. Place  std.dbf  in a \DAT directory and use the
  11. built-in Data application to search through it.
  12.  
  13. If any errors are found in the datafile, please
  14. email me at  af341@yfn.ysu.edu  so that I can keep
  15. the file up-to-date.

  17. Note: PhONEday
  18.    From Easter Sunday 1995, nearly all area codes will
  19.    have an extra digit (1) inserted after the initial 0
  20.    eg: 071 (Inner London) will become 0171.
  21.    From 1st August 1994, it will be possible to dial using
  22.    either method.
  23.  
  24.    std.dbf  has the extra 1's already inserted in preparation
  25.    for next Easter.
  26.  
  27.    NB: From 1 Aug 1994 both dialling methods will work; on
  28.        PhONEday, the old method will be turned off.
