  1. S3A INVEST V1.4b - README
  2. --------------------

  4. This file is for users of V1.3 who wish to upgrade to V1.4  New users
  5. should use the full instructions.
  6.  
  7. 1.    To upgrade from V1.3, simply replace the old S3AINV3.APP file with the
  8. new S3AINV4.APP.
  9.  
  10. 2.   If you want to use the optional On-Line Help (Highly recommended)
  11.      put the file S3AINVH.OVL into an \APP\S3AINV\ directory.
  12.  
  13. 3.   If you want to use the optional Print option put the file 
  14.      S3AINVP.OVL into the \APP\S3AINV\ directory and the file
  15.      S3APRINT.DYL into an \OPD\ directory.  Note that this file is
  16.      common to all my programs, so if you have more than one of
  17.      them you only need one copy of this file.
  18.  
  19. The following major enhancements have been added.
  20.  
  21. 1.    A full printing routine built in, including PSIWIN support.
  22.       I think it's use is self-explanatory.
  23.  
  24. 2.    A new Psion-Compatible Help system incorporated.
  25.  
  26. 3.    You can now have multiple Groups rather than the just one.  Just
  27.       use <PSION-N> to generate a new Group.  (Note that decimal place
  28.       preferences are Group-specific)
  29.  
  30. 4.    The entries can now be sorted on any of the fields.
  31.  
  32. 5.    The Y-axis configuration is now better and more flexible.
  33.  
  34. 6.    A foreign currency option is included.  Provided you define the
  35.       main currency and the secondary currency, you will be allowed
  36.       to enter/update in the second currency.
  37.  
  38. 7.    At long last, the program will keep track of your total portfolio
  39.       value every time you update an entry, and this can be displayed.
  40.  
  41. and the following minor changes:
  42.  
  43. 1.    Swiss font now available through the 'Set Preferences' menu.
  44.  
  45. 2.    The 'Move' option now asks for a destination position.
  46.  
  47. 3.    The Gain/Loss figure now allows an absolute %.
  48.
