  4. This program is shareware, so please share it with other Psion-owner!

  6. The Account Program
  7. -------------------
  8.  
  9. This is an other Account program with a difference.  I have included a WHATIF 
  10. function, this allows you to see how much money there will be left at the end 
  11. of the month (a God send for me).
  12.  
  13. I have included in this file, under the section Other Functions, a selection 
  14. notes about this program.  You will find the same information and more in the 
  15. help from within the program.

  17. Quick Installation:
  18. -------------------
  19. Install by create a sub-directory ACCOUNT to the directory app on the disk 
  20. you want your to keep your accounts (note the files that are stored in this 
  21. directory are continually updated and therefore a RAM disk or internal disk 
  22. are the most appropriate)  Into the app directory of this disk copy the 
  23. account.hlp file.
  24. Copy the program Account.opa and sys$help.opo into the app directory on the 
  25. required disk (this can be different to the disk used to store the account 
  26. files and could be a flash disk as this files are not changed during use).

  45.           If you live outside the UK, convert to either
  46.           £ Sterling (or Eurocheque in Sterling),
  47.           US $, DM or French ff, and send cash.

  49. This shareware version is fully functioning in every way, with the only 
  50. nuisance factor of being interrupted by various nag screens, encouraging you 
  51. to support the author by sending in some money. I will then issue you with a 
  52. personalised key-code, which you can type into Account from the Psion-P 
  53. screen, and which will disable all the nag-screens.

  55. Note to hackers: Please don't try to hack this program, use your programming 
  56. skills to write something of your own instead and make a positive 
  57. contribution to the  Psion software world!!

  59. Other Functions
  60. ---------------
  61. Debit
  62. Used to record money removed from your account.
  63. Credit
  64. Used to record money added into your account.
  65. Transfer
  66. This used to transfer money between accounts. 
  67. Edit
  68. Entries can be edited.
  69. Delete
  70. Entries can be deleted.
  71. Standing Order
  72. This menu is for the control of Standing Order and Direct Debits associated 
  73. with this Account.
  74.       New   Edit   Delete   Help
  75. Display-All
  76. This displays all the transactions in table form.
  77. Display-From Item
  78. This displays all the transactions in table form from the selected item Number.
  79. Display-Last 10
  80. This displays the last 10 transactions in table form.
  81. Display-Find Entry
  82. This displays all the transactions that satisfy the search sting within
  83. the Description field.
  84. Password
  85. This is used to change the Password, switch the Password On/Off and to
  86. enter in the registration code.
  87. What If
  88. Here the program produces a temporary Account file and from the Account's 
  89. current balance all the outstanding current month's standing orders are 
  90. removed and the new balance is displayed with a WhatIf label, this will be 
  91. the balance of this at the end of the month.  Amounts can be Debited and 
  92. Credited without affecting the account file.
  93. Reconciliation
  94. This routine is used to mark transaction that have appeared on your
  95. Bank Statement.
  96. File Sort
  97. This routine sorts the account file into date order.
  98. Tidy
  99. This removes all the old entries that have appeared on the Bank statement
  100. up to the selected date.
  101. New Accounts
  102. New accounts can be opened by selecting, form the system screen  
  103. Menu-File-New-(Enter in the file name which will be come the Account name) 
  104. or by using the File-New from the Programs Main Menu.
  105. Opening Accounts
  106. Other Accounts can be opened from within this program. 
  107. Deleting Accounts
  108. Removing old accounts.
