  23.    The  First  World Tetris Tournament starts from release of Tetris v1.5 and
  24.    will end on April 1st, 1996.
  25.  
  26.    To take part to the tournament, you have to send me a  special  code  that
  27.    the game will give you when you will play the "Challenge Mode".
  28.  
  29.    Challenge mode is enabled to every user, but, if you want your score to be
  30.    in  the final results, you have to register Tetris (or send the Tournament
  31.    fee) before March 20th 1996.
  32.  
  33.    The Tournament fee for unregistered users is only  Lit.  5000  or  £3  (UK
  34.    Pounds) or $5 (US Dollars) cash. Please do not send cheques, the bank fees
  35.    would be too high.

  37.    The Challenge starts from Level 1, with no Extra Pieces and no Grey plane;
  38.    the objective is to end Level 5 with the best score. Please note that  the
  39.    Tournament level speeds are different from the normal game ones.
  40.  
  41.    If you will succeed, you will be given a special code which  you  have  to
  42.    supply me, via e-mail, fax or snail-mail.

  44.    The 1st of April 1996 I will print out the final results; the 3 users with
  45.    the  best scores will be refunded the registration fee (or will be given a
  46.    registration code for free, if they  are not registered), their names will
  47.    remain in the Tetris documentation and... well, the last thing will  be  a
  48.    big surprise!

  50.    The results will be posted both on CIX and on comp.sys.psion, and you will
  51.    see how good you are playing Tetris.

  53.    If you would like to send me  the  Tournament Code, please fill one of the
  54.    following forms (snail-mail & fax form, or e-mail form) and send  it  back
  55.    to me.
