  4. Spreadsheet to Convert values within the following systems:

  6. - Exchange rates / currency
  7. - Temperatures
  8. - Distance
  9. - Weight & Volume
  10. - Liquids
  11. - Energy
  12. - Area
  13. - Time
  14. - Frequency
  15. - Speed
  16. - Transfer speed
  17. - Resistance
  18. - Capacity
  19. - bits and bytes

  21. On top of the spreadsheet are four individual conversion sections.
  22. The first two sections are used for simple conversions
  23. (Just fill in measurement from value, and from/to abbreviations.)
  24. The next section is for adding together values of different types,
  25. (f.ex. 5 USD + 100 XEU + 10 GPB = 879.07 DKR.)
  26. and the last section is used for splitting up values
  27. (f.ex. 163.56 cm = 5 ft + 4.39 in )

  29. After entering an abbreviation, the full name is printed, to confirm
  30. that it can be found. If it cannot be found, "(?????)" is shown instead.

  32. Where there is a different value for US and Brittan/Canada,
  33. the default is US. Prefix "uk " to get the other value
  34. (f.ex. 1 'hw'    = 45.36 kg   (hundredweight (US))
  35.    and 1 'uk hw' = 50.8032 kg (hundredweight (UK&Can)))
  36. I may also decide to, at a later time, produce a version that defaults
  37. to using UK values.

  39. The exchange rates are placed at top, to be easy to change.
  40. It may be easiest to fill in all the currencies from a newspaper.
  41. Note that your own currency should be set to 100.00

  43. If you find a lot of units, that you would never use, you might want
  44. to remove them from the list to speed up calculations (you could keep
  45. the original under another name if you want to)
  46. When adding and removing lines, make sure that you do not change
  47. the index in column A, i.e. shift up/down columns B-E only.
  48. If you should find any missing wrong values, I would be happy to know,
  49. so that I can make the change available to others.
