  1. CONNECT 4 - Version 3.7 - released 31st JAN 1997 - for the Psion Series 3a
  2. with talking female oponent - high quality speech - 4 different playing styles
  3. - play against a friend or computer opponent.

  5. Connect 4 is a popular game that is easy to play and fairly challenging, the
  6. program is shareware and may be freely distributed in its unregistered, complete
  7. and unchanged form (i.e. as supplied zipped).
  8.  
  9. The program may be installed in as little as 13.5K if omiting the optional sound
  10. files or in 80K for the full installation. It will use a maximun of about 43K of
  11. memory when running with speech, or about 33K without speech.
  12.  
  13. Full instructions are within the program, just press Help while the program is
  14. running.
  15.  
  16. INSTALLATION:
  17. =============

  19. Copy CON4A.OPA to the APP directory on any device, if you do not have an APP
  20. directory, create one as follows...
  21.  
  22. Press the SYSTEM button
  23.  
  24. Press the MENU key
  25.  
  26. Under 'Disk' select 'Make directory' and press Enter
  27.  
  28. Next to 'Name' type APP
  29.  
  30. Select the disk you wish to use, 'Internal, A or B' and press Enter
  31.  
  32. Now use the same method to create a directory called PSITECHA, this time typing
  33. PSITECHA next to 'Name' instead of APP.
  34.  
  35. The PSITECHA directory does not need to be on the same disk as the APP directory
  36.  
  37. When you have created these directorys and copied CON4A.OPA to the APP directory
  38.  
  39. Copy the remaining files except this one, to the PSITECHA directory
  40.  
  41. Please note that you may only have 1 PSITECHA directory, either in the internal
  42. memory (M) or (A) or (B).

  44. If you wish to save space, You may omit all or some of the following sound files
  45. which are optional but recommended:-

  47. 01.SDN TO 08.SDN (NUMBERS)
  48. BY.SDN (BYE)
  49. C4.SDN (CONNECT 4)
  50. DR.SDN (DRAW)
  51. I-.SDN (I)
  52. OH.SDN (OH NO)
  53. OK.SDN (O.K.)
  54. PL.SDN (PLAYER)
  55. TH.SDN (THINKING)
  56. TR.SDN (TRY AGAIN)
  57. U-.SDN (YOU)
  58. WN.SDN (WIN)
  59. WS.SDN (WINS)
  60.  
  61. Then press the SYSTEM button on your 3a, press Menu, go to the APPS menu and
  62. select Install. An icon will now be created, select this to run the game.

  64. When running the program if you sometimes dont hear the speech, it will be
  65. because your batteries are too low, or you are low on memory.
