  1. Casino Black Jack V-3.7 for the Psion Series 3a.

  5. Please dont be put off by the size of this program, it contains a lot of speech
  6. that is optional, it is still a great game without the speech, and takes up only
  7. 48k, and that includes an 8k help file that can be deleted when you register the
  8. program, if you install the speech & sounds it will take up 205k including the
  9. help file, allthough this is a lot, my other programs also share many of the
  10. same files.

  12. INSTALLATION:
  13. ============

  15. Black Jack may be copied to the internal memory on your 3a, or a Flashpak or
  16. Rampak in slot A: or B:
  17.  
  18. You must have a APP directory and a PSITECHA directory, they do not need to be
  19. on the same device as each other, if either of these do not exist create them
  20. now as follows...
  21.  
  22. Press the SYSTEM button
  23.  
  24. Press the MENU key
  25.  
  26. Under 'Disk' select 'Make directory' and press Enter
  27.  
  28. Next to 'Name' type APP
  29.  
  30. Select the disk you wish to use, 'Internal, A or B' and press Enter
  31.  
  32. Now use the same method to create a directory called PSITECHA, this time typing
  33. PSITECHA next to 'Name' instead of APP.
  34.  
  35. Now copy Bjack3a.opa to the APP directory.
  36.  
  37. To do a full installation, copy all remaining files except Readme.txt to the
  38. PSITECHA directory, otherwise copy all files except the sounds you wish to omit.

  40. The following sound files are optional, you may copy all, some, or none of them
  41. to the PSITECHA directory, Black Jack will use whichever of them are available.
  42. If you can spare the space I strongly recomend that you at least try them as
  43. they greatly improve the game, you can allways delete them afterwards. Although
  44. the sound files take up a lot of space, other programs that I have writen share
  45. the same files. I have included a description of each sound to help you decide
  46. which to use if space is tight, and have listed them in order of
  47. importance.

  62. SO.SDN = STAND OFF

  64. LH.SDN = LOSING HAND
  65. BE.SDN = BETS PLEASE
  66. DB.SDN = DOUBLE
  67. SP.SDN = SPLIT
  68. EV.SDN = EVEN MONEY
  69. OK.SDN = O.K.

  74. Select 'install application' from the SYSTEM screen, select the device
  75. containing Bjack3a.opa, then select Bjack3a.opa, and press Enter. You will
  76. now have an icon for Black Jack, and are ready to run the program.
