  16. PsiZip is a compression and file packaging utility for the Psion Series
  17. 3a, 3c and Siena palmtop computers.
  18.  
  19. It is compatible with PKZIP v2.04g (PKWARE) for MS-DOS, Windows, UNIX,
  20. OS/2, and VMS systems, and also ZIP 2.0.1 (Info-ZIP) for MS-DOS and
  21. Windows.  It is the ONLY program to provide effective and fast zip
  22. compression AND de-compression on the Psion!

  24. The PsiZip application includes many new and innovative features, of
  25. which these are just a few:
  26.  
  27. * Improved compression.  PsiZip makes use of the latest "Deflate"
  28.   compression algorithm.
  29.  
  30. * Unzip support. PsiZip also has the needed algorithms to support
  31.   the unzipping of zip files.
  32.  
  33. * Subdirectory storage. PsiZip can find and store subdirectory
  34.   pathnames within a zip file.  Files can then be restored to
  35.   their original subdirectories, or the subdirectories may be 
  36.   re-created.

  38. * Password encryption. Sensitive data files can be scrambled
  39.   with password protection (Registered users only!)
  40.  
  41. PsiZip is Shareware, which means you can try the program before deciding
  42. to purchase it, and you may give copies of the trial version to other
  43. Psion users to try.
