  1. WAR - for the Psion Series 3a & 3c - V 1.0 released 27th MAy 97.

  3. War is a arcade/strategy game, a cross between 'Worms' & 'Command & Conquor'.

  5. If you have any problem with installing or running this program, check that you
  6. are using the latest version, which, along with all my other programs, can be
  7. downloaded from my homepage:

  11. Make sure that you have followed the instructions correctly, (you would not
  12. believe how many people have written to me complaining that one of my programs
  13. does not work, only to find that they had misread the instructions).

  15. INSTALLATION
  16. ============

  18. To install it copy WAR.APP into the APP directory on any device, then
  19. create a directory either M:\PSITECHA\, A:\PSITECHA\, OR B:\PSITECHA\.
  20.  
  21. If you have any of my other programs, then use your existing PSITECHA directory,
  22. you may only have 1 PSITECHA directory. If when later copying files your Psion
  23. reports that a file already exists, select 'overwrite'.
  24.  
  25. If you dont know how to create the directorys, instructions follow:-
  26.  
  27. Press the SYSTEM button
  28.  
  29. Press the MENU key
  30.  
  31. Under 'Disk' select 'Make directory' and press Enter
  32.  
  33. Next to 'Name' type APP
  34.  
  35. Select the disk you wish to use, 'Internal, A or B' and press Enter
  36.  
  37. Now use the same method to create a directory called PSITECHA, this time typing
  38. PSITECHA next to 'Name' instead of APP
  39.  
  40. The PSITECHA directory does not need to be on the same disk as the APP directory
  41.  
  42. For a FULL INSTALLATION (107k), copy all the remaining files except this one
  43. (README.TXT) into the PSITECHA directory.
  44.  
  45. For a SMALL INSTALLATION (60k), copy as above, but do not copy the files ending
  46. with .SDN except for Z1.SDN, HA.SDN, Z4.SDN, BA.SDN and OS.SDN.
  47.  
  48. For a MINIMUM INSTALLATION (39k), as above, but do not copy any files ending
  49. with .SDN. (If you can spare the space, copy Z1.SDN)
  50.  
  51. Once the files have been copied, press SYSTEM, then MENU, then select INSTAll,
  52. select WAR.APP and press ENTER. An icon for WAR will then appear, select this to
  53. begin the game. Instructions on how to play are in the game, just press the Help
  54. key, once the program has started.
