  9. The way in which installs are scheduled is different
  10. between HotSync Manager 1.x and 2.x.  Be sure you are
  11. running the correct version of Install Pro for the
  12. version of PalmPilot Desktop/HotSync that you have.
  13.  
  14. HINT: Windows 3.x users can ONLY run 1.x versions of 
  15. the desktop software.  If you are a Windows '95 user
  16. you are most likely running version 1.0 if you bought
  17. a Pilot, and version 2.0 if you have a PalmPilot.
  18. Check your about boxes if in doubt.

  38. This application allows you to schedule Pilot files (*.PRC, 
  39. *.PDB) for installation to your Pilot or PalmPilot.
  40.  
  41. The interface displays a list of all pending installs for
  42. a selected user and provides buttons to Add/Remove files 
  43. from the list.  This makes is easier to schedule repeated 
  44. installs compared to the standard Pilot Install Tool.

  46. Keep in mind that this program will schedule an install,
  47. but you must HotSync to have anything sent down to your
  48. Pilot.

  51. Troubleshooting:
  52.  
  53. If you are a Pilot Desktop 1.0 user and received a dialog 
  54. saying you are missing MFC40.DLL or MSVCRT40.DLL, upgrade 
  55. your HotSync Manager to version 1.1 (available on 
  56. www.usr.com/palm).  This will include these .DLL's.
