  1. IMPORTANT INSTALL AND UNINSTALL INFORMATION

  3. When the Install Wizard finishes, you must:
  4.  
  5. 1. Run Palmeta Mail to complete the installation and 
  6. establish your option settings.  You can do this by
  7. checking the "Launch the program file" checkbox on 
  8. the Setup Complete page of the Install Wizard.
  9.  
  10. 2. Terminate and restart the HotSync program to make 
  11. HotSync aware of Palmeta Mail.  (You only need to do 
  12. these steps once, when you first install.)
  13.  
  14. Once you have completed these steps, HotSync will transfer
  15. your mail to the Pilot according to the options you have 
  16. selected.
  17.  
  18. You can change your options settings at any time by 
  19. running the Palmeta Mail program.
  20.  
  21. We recommend you print out and review this file 
  22. ("readme.txt"), and the User's Guide, which is in the file 
  23. "Palmeta Mail.doc".

  27. Uninstalling Palmeta Mail
  28. =========================

  30. Important Uninstall Instructions: Should you ever choose to 
  31. uninstall Palmeta Mail, you must perform one action before 
  32. running the Windows Uninstall from the Add/Remove Programs 
  33. Control Panel:

  35. Before you uninstall Palmeta Mail, you must run the Palmeta 
  36. Mail program and deselect both the "Send outgoing mail" and 
  37. "Receive incoming mail" options.

  39. This will give Palmeta Mail the opportunity to correctly 
  40. remove itself from your PCÆs System Registry and keep all 
  41. your other Pilot conduits working correctly.
  42.  
  43. If you do not follow these instructions, your Memo Pad will 
  44. not HotSync to the PC after the uninstall.   To fix this, 
  45. simply reinstall Palmeta Mail, run the Palmeta Mail program, 
  46. deselect the two options as detailed above, then uninstall 
  47. from the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.  Your Memo Pad 
  48. will HotSync correctly after you follow these steps.
