Problem: Future To Do dates are off by one day on Pilot Desktop after daylight savings time change.
Application(s) affected: Pilot Desktop To Do application (PC only)
Pilot/Pilot Desktop version affected: Pilot Desktop software v 1.0 (PC only, English and French language versions only)
Symptoms: To Do items which have been created with due dates occurring AFTER the Daylight Savings Time/Standard Time time change will appear to be due one day off when they appear. The time change is correctly detected but incorrectly applied to to-do items with future due dates. This problem does not occur on the Pilot, and only occurs in the To Do application on the Pilot Desktop. It only affects to-do items created before the daylight savings time change AND which have due dates occurring after the daylight savings time change.
Impact on system and data: None other than due To Do items off by 1 day.
Solution: Replace the existing Pilot Desktop TODO.DLL file with the update TODO.DLL dated 9/16/96
Installation:
- Close the Pilot Desktop program before installing the new .DLL file.
- Copy the appropriate update TODO.DLL file to the PILOT directory on your hard drive.
- For English Pilots (US and International) use the TODO.DLL file dated 9/16/96 (257,536 bytes).
- For French Pilots use the TODO.DLL file dated 8/26/96 (259 072 bytes).
You will have to overwrite the existing file. The new file simply replaces the one shipped with your Pilot.
- The new file will take effect the next time you run the Pilot Desktop.
