-
- -------------------
- Revision History
-
- 1.2 - 2-Apr-97
- DB records are no longer opened in 'show secret' mode.
-
- You can now choose to use either system alarms, so AlarmHack will work,
- or use LookAtMe's own alarm.
- If LookAtMe's alarm is used, you can tap anywhere on the screen to
- stop the alarm and launch the application. The alarm duration can
- be set from 1 second to 1 minute in various increments.
-
- A new option, 'once', has been added. If an item is marked as 'once',
- then when its alarm is triggered it is automatically marked as 'off'.
- The record is not deleted, so you can change it back to 'on' later
- if you wish.
-
- 1.1 - 26-Mar-97
- Changed to dynamically allocate application list in the edit window.
- Any number of applications are now supported. Previous version was
- limited to 32 apps.
-
- 1.0 - 25-Mar-97
- First public release
- -------------------
-
- LookAtMe is a combination alarm clock/launcher. You can set one or
- more times that are repeated on selected days. At the appropriate
- time, an alarm will sound and the selected application will be
- automatically launched. The next alarm will also be scheduled.
-
- I use this because I never remember to check my ToDo list!
-
- An alarm can be set that has no application. In this case, the last
- application you were running when you turned off your Pilot will be launched.
-
- Silent alarms can also be specified. These just launch an application
- at the given time.
-
- You may notice a slight pause when you create a new alarm, or edit
- an existing one. This is the time it takes to search the Pilot for
- applications. This is only done once per session, as long as you
- don't switch apps.
-
- Once an alarm is triggered, the next alarm (in time sequence) is
- automatically scheduled. If you want to turn off the alarms, the
- Options pulldown allows this. You can also re-enable alarms or see
- what the next alarm scheduled is.
-
- If you add a new alarm or modify an existing one, alarm scheduling is
- automatically done.
-
- LookAtMe is smart enough to reschedule alarms if you change the
- system time, or if you do a soft reset. This will happen even if alarms
- were turned off via the Options pulldown.
-
- This is shareware. If you like it, send me whatever you think it's
- worth. $10 seems to be the going rate, but I'll leave it up to you.
- What do you get for your money? My thanks, and an incentive for me
- to add requested features. If you also send me your email address,
- I'll notify you of updates. If you're not able to sen US dollars, then
- just send me a nice postcard or something interesting from your country.
- Anyone can send me a nice Cuban cigar in lieu of money! :)
-
- You can also have sources to LookAtMe if you register! If you would like
- sources, please indicate so and be sure you send me your email address.
- LookAtMe is written in C using the Win32 GCC toolkit. Check out more
