- [ What is winTwin ]
-
- winTwin displays two windows simultaneously on the System
- Manager of the 100LX/200LX.
-
- This program is recommended for those people, who
- - believe that the character size of the 100/200LX is too
- large.
- - feel that the displayed information is not enough for the
- huge area of the screen.
- - always carry two or more palmtops, since one is not enough.
- - think that the screen of the 100LX is too wide.
-
-
- [ Quick start ]
-
- (1) Load winTwin by entering "wintwin{Enter}" just before
- starting System Manager. If there are other terminate-and-
- stay-resident(TSR) programs for System Manager,load winTwin
- after them.
-
- (2) When the Topcard is displayed, enter {Alt+Enter}.
-
- (3) You should remark the time display in small characters.
- Then press {Phone}, then {Appt}, then {Phone} again ... and
- see what happens.
-
- (4) Under winTwin, pressing a blue key shifts the current
- screen from the left window to the right window and a new
- screen is displayed on the left. Key inputs are always
- made to the left window. ({BlueKey}, {Ctrl+BlueKey} and
- {Alt+BlueKey} makes new screens and shifts the old one to
- the right.)
-
- Adding a new screen by a Blue-Key is also valid for the
- current (active) application. Examples to use this
- features are:
- o When you are editing a document by Memo editor, you can
- press {Memo} while you are in the first part of the
- document to display it on the right screen, then jump
- to the last part to edit it referring to the first part.
- o You can display monthly schedules of the current month
- and the next month simultaneously on the same screen,
- side by side.
-
- (5) Press {Alt+Enter} again to go back to the normal screen.
-
- (6) To remove winTwin from the memory, enter "wintwin -r{Enter}"
- after exiting from System Manager.
-
-
- [ For advanced users ]
-
- (1) Change the display at once.
-
- The procedure explained in "Quick Start" does not allow the
- switching to winTwin display by simply pressing {Alt+Enter}.
- You need to switch the application to make it happen.
-
- This can be fixed by adding WINTWIN.EXM in this package
- to System Manager with {Alt+F5} assigned as a start key .
- (The start key should not be {Alt+Enter} but {Alt+F5}).
-
- Now pressing {Alt+Enter} key will lead you to the winTwin
- screen immediately.
-
- (2) Wallpaper
-
- If winTwin found a fine WINTWIN.PCX in C:\_DAT\ or A:\_DAT\,
- it will use the image as a wallpaper while switching the
- display. If the image width is less than the screen, the
- image is repeated.
-
- (3) Change the start key
-
- If the default start key for winTwin {Alt+Enter} is used by
- another application, add "-e-" option when loading
- wintwin.com. This will inhibit {Alt+Enter} key. Please
- start by pressing {Alt+F5}. You may want to move it to
- your convenient key position using an utility such as EXkey.
-
-
- [ Limitations ]
-
- o winTwin does not work for an application which draws
- directly on the screen without BIOS calls. (Topcard, Calc
- input line, the map screen of Worldtime, Buddy and others)
-
- o If you switch to an external application, the previous
- display will not be shifted to the right screen but deleted.
-
