- General information
- Preface ───────────────────
- -------
- System Analyser 'SA', is a program that tries to get as much (hardware)
- information from the computer as possible. It's more elaborate and more
- precise than most other info programs available. You will be able to find
- things about your PC that other programs can only partly reveal, or do not
- reveal at all! All items are not simply put in columns but what goes together,
- is grouped together. You can find out what's in your PC, and how it
- functions. It's a valuable help during installation of new hard- and software,
- tracing problems, and optimising your computer.

- * This is the Shareware version. Not all the tests are included. *
- * *
- * AFTER A 14 DAY TRAIL PERIOD YOU HAVE TO REGISTER IT. *

-
- General
- -------
- The program has been designed for DOS.
- It will function with Windows 3.1x, Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT/2000/XP.
- With Windows 3.1x, 95, 98 and ME you will get partially reduced and less
- accurate results.
- In Windows NT/2000/XP the results are more reduced as with the other
- Window versions.
- To get in the real DOS with Windows 95/98 you got two possibilities:
- 1) Shut down, then start MS-DOS.
- 2) At 'Starting Windows 95/98': press the F8 key,
- Then 'Command prompt only'.
- Or shift F5
- With Windows ME use the boot floppy. Execute 'SET COMSPEC=C:\COMMAND.COM'
- Now you can remove the boot floppy.
- Windows XP: With Format Floppy use option 'Create an MS-DOS startup disk'
- Without the SA...REG file the program will not run, so be prudent with it!!
- In Windows you can save with long file names.
- If you make a boot floppy, with the win98se dos you get the best results.
- You do not have to start SA from the location it resides.
- If you get the message 'Memory low' in the start screen, the processor
- cache, of old processors, is not measured.
-
- Use
- ---
- The program has one main screen, 7 extra screens and 2 help screens.
- All screens can be scrolled, if the information does not fit one.

- P = Print = Prints the selected screen.
- Control-P will print on LPT2:

- By some monochrome LCD screens this is necessary.
- Z = No mouse reset
- D = No harddisk performance.
- L = No ASPI test
- G = No Keyboard Copyright string test

- M = No memory test
- @ = No Y2K test
