  91. be extremely helpful in keeping multiple computers synchronized to the
  92. latest versions of their common files.  Using floppy disks as the
  93. intermediary between the machines, you can automatically transfer the
  94. latest file versions without having to remember which files have been
  95. changed.

  98. closely suited to your needs and to the current organization of your
  99. computers.  No need to restructure your drives to take advantage of

  125. If your package included OWSETUP.EXE on the disk, simply run this
  126. program from within Windows and follow the instructions.

  128. If you have downloaded UPD8R.ZIP (from CompuServe) or UPD8R_30.ZIP from
  129. another BBS, or have otherwise acquired WinUpD8R without the
  130. accompanying OWSETUP.EXE installation program, simply unzip (using
  131. PKUNZIP.EXE or similar de-archiving utility) the .ZIP file into its own
  132. directory.  Then, from Windows' FileManager, drag the file WINUPD30.EXE
  133. onto the open Program Manager group in which you wish the utility to
  134. reside.  Windows will automatically install WinUpD8R in this group and
  135. the WinUpD8R icon will appear in this group.

  137. To start WinUpD8R, simply double-click its icon.  On-line help is
  138. available should you have any difficulties in using WinUpD8R.  A short
  139. period of familiarization with WinUpD8R's documentation (either on-line
  140. or in the README.WRI document) will pay dividends in a smooth startup of
  141. your new automatic UpD8ing procedure.

  146. A registered user of any Open Windows program is entitled to a full
  147. refund of their registration fee if they are not satisfied with the
  148. program they have registered. Send a letter to Open Windows requesting a
  149. refund (we'd like to hear why, but that's not a requirement) and stating
  150. that you will discontinue all use of the program upon receipt of your
  151. refund.  It's as simple as that - no questions asked.

  156. WinUpD8R 3.0 is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to
  157. the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  158. please give them the original UPD8R_30.ZIP (or UPD8R.ZIP if obtained
  159. originally from CompuServe) file so that they will have all of the
  160. necessary support files. The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  161. provide personal computer users with quality software without high
  162. prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to continue to
  163. develop new products.  If you find this program useful and continue to
  164. use WinUpD8R 3.0 after the 30-day trial period, you must make a
  165. registration payment of $15.00 plus $3.00 S&H to Open Windows.  The
  166. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one computer at
  167. any one time.  You must treat this software just like a book.  An
  168. example is that this software may be used by any number of people and
  169. may be freely installed on multiple computers, so long as there is no
  170. possibility of it being used at one location while it's being used at
  171. another - just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
