Transcription: The vibrations are transmitted to the three small bones in the middle ear, the hammer, the anvil, and the stirrup. Vibrations pass through the oval window to reach the cochlea in the inner ear. Here, sound vibrations are changed into nerve impulses. These are sent along the occluded nerves of the brain where they are inserted into the tongue.
