- ViewIcon V1.00
-
- by Robert Lang, 23rd April 1992
-
-
-
- This program may be freely distributed provided this documentation remains
- with the unchanged executable.
-
- ViewIcon is a quick utility that I whipped up so that I could view icon
- files from the shell (my favourite workplace).
-
- What it DOESN'T do :
- (1) if the icon has more colours than the current display, then you see the
- icon as you would on the current display (ie. reduced colours).
- (2) if the icon is larger than the current display, the display window will
- fail to open with an error message written to the current shell.
-
- Apart from those two features which could be added at a later date, if you
- wish to view the icon of the file "robert.info" in the current directory,
- then you type "ViewIcon robert" and that icon is displayed in a suitably
- sized window in the top left of the current display. You can then click on
- the image to see its activated counterpart as you would if it were really
- an icon on a workbench window.
-
- No known bugs as yet, let me know if you find them or think of a nice
- feature, this program was whipped up in under half an hour on an Amiga 3000
- running WB2.04 (should work fine on 1.3 or later !) using SAS/C V5.10a to
- serve a specific purpose...it does that, so I stop there !
