  1. This patch archive may be freely distributed as long
  2. as all of the files of this archive are moved
  3. together and not separated.

  6.    Quarterback_5.0.1  (initial patch script)
  7.    QB_Patch_Readme
  8.    Patch_Script       (actual patch script)
  9.    QB501-502.pch
  10.    lpatch             (Copyright by Lattice)

  12. To patch Quarterback 5.0.1, simply move the files of
  13. this archive into the same directory where Quarterback
  14. is installed.  Then, execute the "Quarterback_5.0.1"
  15. script either from the CLI/Shell, or by clicking on its
  16. icon.  The icon says "EXECUTE TO PATCH."  After the
  17. patching is done, you may remove the five files in this
  18. archive.

  20. This script will determine if you have the correct
  21. version of Quarterback and only patch your file if it
  22. is version 5.0.1.  If you have the 5.0 version of
  23. Quarterback, then you need to use the 5.0 to 5.0.1
  24. patch.

  26. These files will patch Quarterback 5.0.1 to version
  27. 5.0.2.  The 5.0.2 version fixes reported bugs as well
  28. as enhances the restoration of compressed backups on
  29. floppies and removable media drives.  Because of this,
  30. we recommend that you redo your backups on floppies
  31. and removable media drives.

  33. As a note:
  34.   The file QB501-502.pch is the Quarterback 5.0.1 to
  35.       5.0.2 patch file.
  36.   lpatch is the file that does the patching and is
  37.       freely distributable.
  38.  
  39.   If you would like to patch the files yourself, and
  40.   bypass the script, you may get a synopsis of how the
  41.   lpatch command works by typing 'lpatch' on a CLI/Shell
  42.   prompt line by itself.  It contains the necessary
  43.   information on how it works.
