  1. Short: Shell printer utility; prints special codes and files

  5.     This is a nifty utility that will send printer codes to a somewhat
  6. standard Epson printer so that it will print in modes such as NLQ,
  7. condensed, elite character set, pica set, etc.  It will also print text
  8. files and send linefeeds and formfeeds.  Just preceed printer code options
  9. with a dash to distinguish them from filenames.  Pmod brings up a requester
  10. when it cannot find a file or does not know an option, giving the user a
  11. chance to correct the typeing, skip the given argument and continue with the
  12. next, or abort the entire printing session.
  13.     I have no idea if this program, with the printer codes it uses, will
  14. be useful on other printers besides Epson, so people, let me know.  Oh,
  15. yeah...  Don't attempt to make this thing resident - God knows what would
  16. happen!
  17.     Also, look out for another utility I wrote called BootFlag22.lzh.
  18. It's a Shell script utility that basically acts as 32 on/off global
  19. environment variables that can be checked, and compared, etc. in If
  20. statements in a script.  There is also a Unix version out there.
