  3. Below is the readme file from the archive. This archive contains *only* the
  4. patch for the Supra version of GPFax. Thanks to Dr Greg Perry for emailing
  5. me this archive.

  7. I am not affiliated with GPFax in any way, so if you have questions, please

  14. This archive contains updates for GPFax versions 2.01 as supplied by
  15. Supra with their modems and 'generic' versions from GPSoftware.
  16.  
  17. Because of different versions of GPFax which have been released, there are
  18. THREE possible patch archives.
  19.  
  20. patchsupra    : for Supra versions 2.01 2.5.92
  21. patch920502    : for generic version 2.01 2nd May 1992
  22. patch920610    : for generic version 2.01 10th June 1992
  23.  
  24. Also included is a small later patch to fix minor problems with the
  25. parallel port. These patches included in the above directories and are named
  26.  
  27.     supra2041.pch
  28. or    
  29.     gen2041.pch
  30.  
  31. These patches MUST ONLY be applied AFTER you have created the new 2.04 version.
  32. (see below)

  35. Also included is a NEW printer driver and GPFax/18 font and notes on the changes.

  38. ENSURE YOU ARE WORKING WITH A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL PROGRAM.

  41. To apply the patch, execute the following line from the CLI
  42.  
  43.     Copy GPFax:GPFAX to RAM:
  44.  
  45.     CD RAM:
  46.  
  47.     lpatch -oNEW -p<patchname> gpfax
  48.  
  49. This will create the new version of GPFax 2.04 as file NEW. 
  50. Then copy the file NEW to your GPFAX: directory as GPFax.
  51.  
  52.     copy NEW to GPFAX:GPFax 
  53.  
  54.  
  55. For example, to create a new version of the supra GPFax V2.04 use
  56.  
  57.     lpatch -oNEW -psupra.pch gpfax
  58.  
  59. To create a new version of the 'generic' program from original
  60. version 2.01 dates 2.5.92 use
  61.

  63.     lpatch -oNEW -pgen920502.pch gpfax
  64.  
  65. To create a new version of the 'generic' program from original
  66. version 2.01 dates 10.6.92 use
  67.

  69.     lpatch -oNEW -pgen920610.pch gpfax

  72. VERSION 2.041 Update
  73.  
  74. To update this new 2.04 version to 2.041, apply the 2041 patch to the newly
  75. created GPFax version 2.04 (NEW) in similar manner to above by
  76.  
  77.     lpatch -oNEW2041 -psupra2041.pch NEW
  78. or
  79.  
  80.     lpatch -oNEW2041 -pgen2041.pch NEW
