  5. The Imploder allows you to reduce the size of executable files while having
  6. them retain their full functionality.  There are other "crunchers" or
  7. "packers" available for the Amiga, but none are as mindful of the
  8. complexities of your Amiga system as the Imploder (IMHO). In addition to
  9. this, its algorithms are more efficient, both in terms of speed, and size
  10. reduction.

  12. Basic operation is clicking and using pull-down menus. Though operating
  13. the Imploder isn't hard, the complexities of the Amiga give rise to the
  14. need for imploding different types of executable files in a number of
  15. different ways. Please note that not reading the documentation won't
  16. inhibit you from using the Imploder; it automatically detects, and reacts
  17. to almost all exceptions, and for the vast majority of files it suffices
  18. to simply hit the "Proceed" gadget after loading has finished.

  20. Still, the Imploder does have a few - quite useful - options that require
  21. you to have some understanding of the issues involved. Notably, it would
  22. be preferable for you to read the documentation before making use of the
  23. explode library or the merge option.

  27. Judging from some of the reactions we've received, the old documentation
  28. didn't do a good job in communicating essential information to the user,
  29. so it has been revised and split into several parts for easy reference.
