  3. This is my hacked up port of Tomas Rokiki's dvips version 5.47
  4. obtained from labrea.stanford.edu.  The program should function pretty
  5. much as documented in the excellent writeup provided with the
  6. distribution on labrea except for the following:

  8. The path separaters are commas, not colons.
  9. The default place for configuration files is tex:
  10. The default place for tfm font files is tex:fonts
  11. The default place for pk files is tex:pk/%d/%f.%d%p
  12. The default place for inputs is tex:inputs
  13. The default place for postscript files for headers is tex:ps
  14.  
  15. I have only tested a very small portion of the features.  In
  16. particular, I did not compile to use font libraries.  Writing output
  17. to pipes won't work, as well as other UNIX specific features.  I've
  18. never tried to use PostScript fonts, or virtual fonts.
