  1. Welcome to the first AMONER Project disk!!  It is finally a reality!
  2.  
  3. This disk is dedicated to all AMOS users/programmers, especially to
  4. Francois Lionet creator of AMOS.
  5.  
  6. Now, some quick instructions:
  7.  
  8. NOTE:  THESE PROGRAMS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK ON MACHINES WITH LESS THAN
  9. 1024k OF MEMORY.
  10.  
  11. NOTE NOTE:THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
  12. THESE PROGRAMS ARE "AS IS" AND WE DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR
  13. THEIR ACTIONS.
  14. (General Disclaimer, huh?? 8)

  16. First, boot from the AMONER001 disk.  This will make sure that the
  17. maximum amount of memory is available.  Also, the startup file will
  18. attempt to put your machine into PAL mode if it is in NTSC mode.
  19. If you are unable to go from NTSC to PAL because you do not have
  20. the 1MB CHIP AGNUS, you can remove the lines:

  22. paltest
  23. If WARN
  24.     palcon
  25.     boot
  26. EndIf
  27.  
  28.  
  29. The main screen will appear after a short wait.  On this screen, you
  30. will see the credits on the right hand side and the options on the left.
  31. In the center is a plug for our feature game FORTRON.
  32.  
  33. The options are selected by clicking with the left mouse button (LMB)
  34. on one of the following:
  35.  
  36. EDITORIAL (This is a short letter from Gal-on.  A file scroller will
  37.             appear.)
  38.  
  39. POLICY    (Just a short note on some of the AMONER Project's policies)
  40.  
  41. GAMES     (Our games.  When you click on this option, a menu will pop
  42.             up on the right, asking to play JigSaw or FORTRON.  Try
  43.             them both!!)
  44.  
  45. GRAPHICS  (This will start a mini-fractal program which will be displayed
  46.             in the center of the screen.  This takes 41 minutes and you
  47.             can only stop it before the end by pressing CTRL-C.  However,
  48.             this will take you all the way back to the WorkBench and will
  49.             have to reboot)
  50.  
  51. PROGRAMMING /   This will bring up a little programming puzzle that will
  52.   PUZZLE    \   challenge even the best programmers!!  We dare you to try
  53.                 and solve it!  If you try, send it in before the deadline
  54.                 which is November 30, 1991 11:59.99PM GMT.  Send it to
  55.                 one of the Email or Snail Mail addresses below.
