  7. Thank you for downloading WPS ShutDown!.
  8.  
  9. WPS ShutDown! is an OS/2 2.0 32-bit workplace shell utility that will allow
  10. you to easily close your entire OS/2 system.  This program will provide an
  11. orderly shutdown of the disk cache, as well as all running applications.
  12.  
  13. All OS/2 presentation manager applications and workplace shell folders will
  14. be closed, and their window positions will be remembered.
  15.  
  16. Any DOS or Windows applications will also be closed.  A message box will be
  17. displayed before any of these applications are ended.  It is recommended that
  18. you properly close these applications before using the WSP ShutDown! program
  19. since it is unable to save any data that may have been modified.
  20.  
  21. After you restart OS/2, any workplace shell objects that were open when
  22. you ran WPS ShutDown! will also be restarted.  In fact, WPS ShutDown! will
  23. also restart briefly, since it was active when the system was shutdown,
  24. and then exit.  This is normal.

  33. Installation is very simple:
  34.  
  35. Step 1 - Copy ShutDown.exe to a directory that you use to store programs.
  36.  
  37. Step 2 - Add a program entry to any of your folders for ShutDown.exe.
  38.          For program settings, all you need to specify is the path and
  39.          file name where you placed ShutDown.exe.
  40.  
  41. Executing WPS ShutDown! is as simple as double clicking the icon, or typing
  42. the shutdown command at an OS/2 command prompt.

  45. Register shareware!

  48. I hope you find this utility helpful.  You are free to use this program for
  49. a short period of time to determine its usefulness in your enviromnment.
  50. If you find WPS ShutDown! to be useful, then you are expected to register it.
  51. Shareware provides the customer with a unique opportunity to try software
  52. before making the decision to purchase it.  However, if you do use our
  53. WPS ShutDown! utility, then you are obligated to register it.
