  8.    Some of the GA releases of OS/2, both 2.0 and 2.1, will cause the
  9.    Pegasus Resource Monitor to crash the system. This is due to
  10.    bugs in the OS2KRNL and some of the sub-components of the operating
  11.    system.

  13.    You should review the PEGASUS.INF document to determine what, if
  14.    any, fixes you should apply before running Pegasus. Select APAR
  15.    Notices from the table of contents.

  21. Pre Installation
  22. ----------------
  23. If you are running an earlier version of the Pegasus Resource Monitor,
  24. stop it and delete all files, folders, and program objects from that 
  25. release. If you have placed any of the Pegasus dynamic link libraries in 
  26. directories other than the executable directory, find them and delete 
  27. them as well.

  29. Installing Pegasus
  30. ------------------
  31. 1. Unzip PEGASUS.ZIP
  32.  
  33. 2. Run the PINSTALL.CMD install utility with a path name
  34.    argument to install Pegasus into:
  35.  
  36.         ex.     [x:\download]pinstall y:\pegasus
  37.  
  38.         where y:\pegasus is the qualified path name, do not
  39.         put a closing '\' at the end of the line.
  40.  
  41. 3. View the new on-line documentation.
  42.  
  43. 4. Optionally add the install path to your 'PATH=', 'DPATH=' and
  44.    'LIBPATH=' statements in CONFIG.SYS.
