  1.                 DECRYPT

  3. Decrypt is an OS/2 PM aid to solving Cryptograms. Operation is generally
  4. intuitive. There are basically two modes of operation:
  5.  
  6.     1) Edit  - The mode in which you enter or make changes to the unsolved
  7.            cryptogram. All entry is in Insert mode; there is no typeover in
  8.            this mode. Backspace and Delete work as you would expect them to.
  9.     2) Solve - The mode in which you enter your translation, character by
  10.            character. The translated character is typed in at the cursor; it
  11.            will subsequently appear on the lower half of the window.
  12.            Backspace and Delete do not work in this mode.

  14. You can toggle between the two modes with the Insert key.
  15. Unused characters appear in the lower right hand corner of the window.
  16. In the Edit menu:

  18.     1) Clear Solution - clears the solution at any time.
  19.     2) Pack Workspace - deletes all unnecessary whitespace in the cryptogram.
  20.     3) Fix Margin     - unfragments all words that wrap around the end of a
  21.             line.
