-
- PMFormat provides a Presentation Manager Interface for the Format utility
- provided with OS/2. OS/2's regular Format utility is used so disks formatted
- under PMFormat are completely standard. The setup dialog allows you to state
- the drive to format, density of the disk, and a volume label.
-
- Note: Use the Def density button if the disk is the same density as the
- default for the drive or leave the setting blank.
-
-
- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3.1. Drive Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

-
- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Time Out ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
-
- Format has not output any messages for the maximum allowed time. Some versions
- of Format will not time out properly if a disk is formatted at a density
- greater than it is designed for. If you know the selected density is correct
- you may need to increase the timeout value. The time out factor is 50 by
- default. Enter a larger value on the command line when starting PMFORMAT or
- place a larger value in the Parameter field of the program setup to increase
- the default value.
