  4. DINFO is a small utility the purpose of which is to show you the size of 
  5. SWAPPER.DAT and, optionally, how much space you have left on your swap 
  6. partition. 
  7.  
  8. You have a variety of choices for output display. 
  9.  
  10. The settings options dialog will show you more help for this. 
  11.  
  12. There are a few things you can do without selecting the Settings notebook 
  13. control: 
  14.  
  15. o Press CTRL+S to save the current position of DINFO 
  16. o Double click mouse button 1 (usually the left button) to: 
  17.  
  18.    Hide the frame controls if they are currently showing 
  19.    Show the frame controls if they are currently hidden 
  20.  
  21. o Single click mouse button 2 (usually the right button) to bring up the 
  22.   settings notebook control.

  27. The swapper page will assist you in making choices pertaining to your 
  28. swapper.dat display choices.

  30. These selections will be applied immediately as you select them and you may 
  31. save them (including the position of the application window) by selecting the 
  32. Save page and pressing the Save button.

  34. These are the elements available for you to choose from:

  36. Show the size of swapper.dat

  38. Show the maximum size of swapper.dat during your session 
  39.  
  40. Show the size of swapper.dat as bytes

  42. Show the size of swapper.dat as kilobytes

  147. On this page you may set your preferences for some more options. Remember that 
  148. you must save the options to have DINFO remember them next time you start the 
  149. program. As you select the options they are in effect at once for the current 
  150. session.

  152. The following options are available to you: 
  153.  
  154. Hide frame controls 
  155.  
  156. Beep when swapper.dat shrinks or grows by 1 megabyte 
  157.  
  158. Hide DINFO until a certain minimum free space threshold is reached 
  159.  
  160. Select the minimum free space you want to have left before DINFO surfaces from 
  161. hiding 
  162.  
  163. Hide or show DINFO on the Window List 
  164.  
  165. Enter the amount of milliseconds DINFO will pause between updating the display 
  166.  
  167.  
  168. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4.1. Help for Hide Frame Controls ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  170. If you check this button the frame controls will be hidden. The frame controls 
  171. are:

  173. o System menu icon 
  174. o Title bar 
  175. o Minimize button 
  176.  
  177. Remember to position the program window before you hide the frame controls, or 
  178. you will not be able to move the window to a new position. 
  179.  
  180. Remember that you can toggle the frame controls by double clicking mouse button 
  181. 1 (usually the left button) whenever the pointer is positioned on DINFO's 
  182. client window.

  187. If you check this button, Dinfo will beep once every time swapper.dat grows or 
  188. shrinks by one megabyte

  191. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4.3. Help for Hide until Minimum Space reached ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  193. If you check this button, Dinfo will remain hidden until a certain minimum 
  194. space left for swapping is reached. Activating this button will display a 
  195. spinbutton, allowing you to dynamically set the number of megabytes (2-100) 
  196. that you want remaining before Dinfo surfaces.

  198. Please note that you cannot activate this button and at the same time 
  199. deactivate the Show on Tasklist button, because this could result in your 
  200. inability to close DINFO!

  205. Use this spinbutton control to select how many megabytes you want left for 
  206. swapper.dat before Dinfo surfaces from hiding

  211. If you activate this button, the Window List will show 'Dinfo'. This entry will 
  212. be invisible if you deactivate the button.

  214. Please note that Dinfo will force a check in this box if you also select that 
  215. Dinfo must remain hidden until a certain minimum space is reached. The reason 
  216. for this is that you might otherwise find yourself with a Dinfo that cannot be 
  217. closed because it is not visible and it cannot be selected from the Window 
  218. List!

  223. Please enter the number of milliseconds that Dinfo should pause between 
  224. sampling Swapper.dat's size.

  227. change is effective.
