  16. DESCRIPTION
  17.      _P_s_c is used to prepare data for input to  the  spread  sheet
  18.      calculator  _s_c(_1).  It accepts normal ascii data on standard
  19.      input.  Standard output is a _s_c file.  With no options,  _p_s_c
  20.      starts  the spread sheet in cell A0.  Strings are right jus-
  21.      tified.  All data on a line is entered on the same row;  new
  22.      input lines cause the output row number to increment by one.
  23.      The default delimiters are tab and space.  The  column  for-
  24.      mats  are  set  to  one  larger  than  the number of columns
  25.      required to hold the largest value in the column.

  30.      -f   Omit column width calculations.   This  option  is  for
  31.           preparing   data   to   be   merged  with  an  existing
  32.           spreadsheet.  If  the  option  is  not  specified,  the
  33.           column  widths calculated for the data read by _p_s_c will
  34.           override those already set in the existing spreadsheet.

  37.      -L   Left justify strings.

  40.      -k   Keep all delimiters.  This  option  causes  the  output
  41.           cell to change on each new delimiter encountered in the
  42.           input stream.   The default action is to condense  mul-
  43.           tiple  delimters  to one, so that the cell only changes
  44.           once per input data item.

  47.      -r   Output the data by row first then  column.   For  input
  48.           consisting  of a single column, this option will result
  49.           in output of one row with multiple columns instead of a
  50.           single column spread sheet.

  54.           Start the top left corner of the spread sheet in  _c_e_l_l.
  55.           For  example,  -_s  _B_3_3  will arrange the output data so
  56.           that the spread sheet starts in column B, row 33.
