  7. These fonts give a basic set of Times, Helvetica, and Letter Gothic
  8. fonts for use with lp3820 on printers which do not support scalable
  9. fonts.  These fonts are needed when running lp3820 in HP-PCL or
  10. 4019 PPDS modes.  They are not needed when running lp3820 in
  11. PostScript or 4029 PPDS modes.

  13. The package is 880K compressed, and expands to 1.3Mb.  To use with
  14. lp3820 these must be either in your PATH, or in a subdirectory pointed
  15. to by the LP3820 environment variable.

  17. The fonts are in a compressed PPDS (IBM LaserPrinter) format.  You
  18. can expand these to normal PPDS mode fonts by using the lp3820 -x
  19. function which is part of the lp3820 package.
