- The Data Folder as a Shadow of a hard Disk Directory
- ----------------------------------------------------
-
- The folder "DATA" that is created by the DDEDIT DipWriter
- procedure is a SHADOW of the directory Data. (normally it has
- the path C:\ddedit\data) Both the enhanced and normal OS/2
- system editor Program Objects will use this directory as a
- working directory. Any file saved into this directory will
- automatically be mirrored into the Data folder as a data file
- object.
-
- To open one of these files simple select it by pointing the
- mouse to the object and clicking once with the left mouse
- button, then click and hold with the right mouse button and
- "Drag" the object over top of one of the editors. Then release
- the right mouse button ("Drop") to have the editor open the file.
-
- Try creating new files with the editor and watch them appear in
- the folder!
-
- Try dragging a file to the shredder and watch it Disappear!!
-
- Unlock the power of the desktop with DipWriter!!
