  4. Question: Soundblaster applications do not work correctly
  5.           under WIN-OS/2.
  6. .
  7. Answer:   Some Soundblaster and Soundblaster PRO
  8.           applications will work OK.  However, many
  9.           soundblaster applications have problems.  Most of
  10.           these problem applications try to use more than
  11.           1000 interrupts per second to generate sound.  The
  12.           Parrot program provided with soundblaster is one
  13.           of these problem applications.  Applications that
  14.           use DMA for sound generation instead of the
  15.           interrupt method will have a better chance of
  16.           running.  The 1000 interrupt per second problem is
  17.           being addressed.  Currently there are no work
  18.           arounds if you are experiencing problems with a
  19.           Soundblaster board.  APAR PJ03959.

  21. Question: MIDI software and boards do not work correctly.

  23. Answer:   Some MIDI software and applications also
  24.           experience problems because of the 1000 interrupts
  25.           problem.  No workaround at this time.
