  1. Set up the OS/2 machine this way....
  2.  
  3. 1. Make a directory called MHZ (md MHZ)
  4. 2. Copy ALL files we have supplied into the MHZ directory. 
  5.  
  6. 3. CONFIG.SYS (reference the sample config.sys file SAMPLE.CFG)
  7.  
  8. --->DEVICE=C:\OS2\PCMCIA.SYS
  9. --->DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VPCMCIA.SYS
  10.  
  11. This must be FIRST. It is loaded from disk 7 in OS2 2.1. It is the equivilent
  12. of Card Services.
  13.  
  14. --->DEVICE=C:\OS2\COM.SYS
  15. --->DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VCOM.SYS
  16.  
  17. These are loaded SECOND. They must be date 9-29-93 or later. We have included
  18. the files with the correct date for your convenience if needed.
  19.  
  20. --->DEVICE=C:\MHZ\ESTDFM.OS2 s1c2 <-MUST BE LOWER CASE
  21.  
  22. This is loaded THIRD. It is the equivilent of CIC or Super Client. IBM's is 
  23. the exact same name and will not work. Ours has been modified to include
  24. our card. This file is supplied by Megahertz.

  26. --->DEVICE=C:\MHZ\IBM2SS01.SYS
  27.  
  28. NOTE: If running OS/2 on an IBM Thinkpad 720, use file IBM2SS02.SYS
  29.  
  30. This is loaded FOURTH. It is Socket Services. It is supplied by us and is
  31. the exact same file as is supplied by IBM for IBM machines.

  33. --->DEVICE=C:\MHZ\ICRMU01.SYS
  34.  
  35. NOTE: If running OS/2 on an IBM Thinkpad 720, use file ICRMU02.SYS
  36.  
  37. ================= V E R Y   I M P O R T A N T ==========================
  38. ICRMU01.SYS is the resource manager and is REQUIRED or OS2 will BLOW UP.

  40. THIS FILE IS AVAILABLE FOR IBM MACHINES ONLY. IF YOU ARE RUNNING OS/2 ON 
  41. A NON-IBM MACHINE YOU WILL NEED TO ACQUIRE THIS FILE FROM IBM.

  43. MEGAHERTZ CORPORATION CANNOT DISTRIBUTE THIS FILE.

  46. 4. Reboot computer and your Megahertz modem should work. If it should
  47. not, verify file dates on COM.SYS and VCOM.SYS and replace with newer 
  48. files (Available from IBM).
