- The PolyPM/2 install main menu includes the 5 following options :
-
- 1. Install
-
- 2. Migrate
-
- 3. Remove
-
- 4. Exit
-
- 5. Help
-
- o Select the Install option in order to install the PolyPM/2 programs.
-
- o Select the Migrate option in order to migrate the PolyPM/2 data files from a
- PolyPM/2 previous release to the new data file formats.
-
- o Select the Remove option in order to desinstall any PolyPM/2 program
- release.
-
- o Select the Exit option in order to quit the PolyPM/2 installation program.
-
- o Select the Help option in order to use the On Line Help of the PolyPM2
- install program.

- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for the Install Process. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

- The Install panel provides the 8 following parameters :
-
- 1. User Name
-
- 2. Installation Drive
-
- 3. Installation Directory
-
- 4. Install
-
- 5. Start at Boot
-
- 6. License
-
- 7. Drive Space
-
- 8. Automatic System Files Update
-
- o Type in the User Name entry field the name of the official user, that is to
- say the person or the company who is the rightful owner of the software.
-
- o Indicate in the Installation Drive entry field the letter of the disk where
- you need to install the PolyPM/2 programs.
-
- o Specify in the Installation Directory entry field the path of the related
- target disk where you need to install the PolyPM/2 programs.
-
- o The Utilities group box displays the PolyPM/2 modules available on your
- PolyPM/2 diskette.
-
- o Select in the Install group box the related PolyPM/2 modules that you need
- to install.
-
- o Select in the Start group box the related PolyPM/2 modules which must be
- automaticaly started when you boot your system.
-
- o The License group box displays the related PolyPM/2 program license numbers.
-
- o The Drive Space group box displays the Free disk space of the target disk,
- and the disk space needed in order to achieve the installation process.
-
- o Check the Automatic System Files Update option if you need that the
- installation process automatically updates the CONFIG.SYS and STARTUP.CMD
- files.
-
- Once you have filled all the installation parameters, click on the Install
- button in order to start the installation process.

- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Help for the Data File Migration Process. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

- The Data File Migration panel provides the 2 following parameters and
- informations :
-
- 1. Version
-
- 2. Drive Space
-
- o Select in the Version list box the related previous PolyPM/2 release from
- which you need to migrate the data files to the new data file format.
-
- o The Drive Space group box displays the Free disk space of the target disk,
- and the disk space needed in ordre to achieve the installation process.
-
- Click on the Migrate button in order to start the data file migration process.
-

- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Help for the Version Removing Process. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

- The Remove panel provides the 2 following parameters and informations :
-
- 1. Version
-
- 2. Delete Data Files
-
- o Select in the Version list box the related previous PolyPM/2 release that
- you need to remove from your system.
-
- o Check the Delete Data File option, if you need to delete also the previous
- PolyPM/2 data files (Pupil and Teacher lists, Modem, Color, Journal and
- Setting files).
-
- Click on the Remove button in order to start the data file deleting process.

- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Help for the Messages. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

- The Messages panel provides a status list box in which the current process
- displays the 3 following information types :
-
- 1. in Black
-
- 2. in Blue
-
- 3. in Red
-
- o The Black lines are the regular informations.
-
- o The Blue lines are the informative informations.
-
- o The Red lines are the error informations.
