  6. DiscTrak System is distributed as a self extracting archive file. 
  7. If you didn't receive it as such, or failed to receive an opening
  8. message upon running the file, you may have an altered copy.  If
  9. you suspect this, call Blam Entertainment Group as soon as possible
  10. for an authenticity verification.  The telephone number is listed
  11. at the end of this document.

  14. SYSTEM UPDATES:
  15.  
  16. This version of Disctrak applies updates from the following
  17. versions:
  18.      1.18, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21, 1.22, 1.30, 1.31,
  19.      1.40, 1.50, 1.60, 1.61, 1.62
  20.  
  21. If you use the character "*" anywhere in your catalog numbers, and
  22. are upgrading from version 1.40 or older (or any of the various bug
  23. fix loads from these versions), the "*" will be changed to "ƒ" (if
  24. that didn't come out on your printer, it's character ASCII 159). 
  25. You will have to restore it manually, provided you care.

  28. IMPORTANT NOTICES:
  29.  
  30. *    DiscTrak System is loaded using the "DT.EXE" file.
  31.  
  32. *    DiscTrak System uses dBASE compatible .DBF files.  However,
  33.      these files contain compressed data which will cause display
  34.      problems with dBASE and regular .DBF viewers.  DO NOT try to
  35.      use these .DBF files with any program other than DiscTrak.
  36.  
  37. *    If you get an error during program load which states "Blam
  38.      Entertainment Group - Out of Environment Space", there isn't
  39.      enough room inside your computers environmental memory for
  40.      required variables.  Consult your DOS documentation on how to
  41.      increase your environment space.
  42.  
  43. *    Be sure the following line is included in your CONFIG.SYS.
  44.  
  45.           Files=20
  46.  
  47.      If you already have a files statement, be sure it's value is
  48.      at least 20.  DiscTrak System will not honour any file handles
  49.      above 8 if the files are loaded into high memory.  All file
  50.      handles should be located in conventional memory.
  51.  
  52. *    In order for the reports to print directly out of DiscTrak
  53.      System, the following line should be in your AUTOEXEC.BAT
  54.      file.
  55.  
  56.           PRINT /D:PRN
  57.  
  58.      This isn't necessary but it will eliminate the need to specify
  59.      a print device the first time you print a report.
  60.  
  61. *    Be sure to have backup copies of your files before you upgrade
  62.      to a new version or before you install your serial number.
  63.  
  64. *    For complete system documentation, please read "DT-USER.DOC".

  66. *    For an explanation of modifications from version to version,
  67.      please read the "DT-NEW.DOC" file.

  70. Special appreciation goes out to all users, both registered and
  71. non-registered, who have called, written and/or registered DiscTrak
  72. System.  Continued feedback has been invaluable.

  75. A full Microsoft Windows version of DiscTrak System is being
  76. planned.  However, we will have to completely recode the program in
  77. another language as Clipper does not port into Windows.  This may
  78. be a while in coming.

  82. System, PLEASE call or write.  With your help, we can make DiscTrak
  83. System the best home entertainment cataloging program available for
  84. the shareware price.
