  75.          A word about user supported software:

  77.          The user supported software  concept  (usually referred to as
  78.          freeware) is an attempt to provide software at low cost.  The
  79.          cost of offering a  new  product  by  conventional  means  is
  80.          staggering, and hence dissuades many independent authors  and
  81.          small companies from developing  and  promoting  their ideas.
  82.          User supported software  is  an  attempt  to  develop  a  new
  83.          marketing channel, where products can be  introduced  at  low
  84.          cost.

  86.          If user supported software works, then everyone will benefit.
  87.          The user will benefit by receiving quality  products  at  low
  88.          cost, and by being able to "test drive"  software  thoroughly
  89.          before purchasing it.  The author benefits by  being able  to
  90.          enter the commercial software  arena  without  first  needing
  91.          large sources of venture capital.

  93.          But it can only work  with  your  support.   We're  not  just
  94.          talking about Analyze  here,  but  about  all  user supported
  95.          software.  If you find that you are  still  using  a  program
  96.          after a couple of weeks, then pretty obviously  it  is  worth
  97.          something to you, and you should register.
