Transcription: A turbofan engine combines the power of a jet engine with the efficiency and economy of a propeller engine. A fan draws air into the engine. Some of it is taken into the core where it is pressurized by blades in the compressor. Fuel is pumped through the fuel injectors and mixed with air in the combustion chambers. The volatile mixture ignites producing rapidly expanding exhaust gases. Part of the thrust of the turbofan comes from the pressure of the exhaust gas against the front wall of the combustion chamber.
