Transcription: The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood to all parts of the body. It can be divided into two cavities. Two pumps work simultaneously. The right cavity takes in oxygen-poor blood from the body and pumps it to the lungs. The left cavity takes oxygen-rich blood from the lungs and returns it to the body. Each side of the heart has an auricle, which draws blood in from the veins, and a ventricle which pushes the blood out through the arteries.
