- Welcome!
-
- If you have no idea what StartMenu is, take a look at the "ScreenShot.iff"
- file. Thanks to Ashley Powell for the picture!
-
- There are two (2) ways to install StartMenu:
-
- 1. If you already have v1.0 then use the Install_Update script. This
- will delete some files that are no longer used and will also convert
- your old start.pref file. The v1.0 pref file is not compatible with
- v2.0!! However, the installer script will update it so that it will
- be compatible.
- Also, if you were starting StartMenu from the s:user-startup file,
- you can change this if you want as the new version of StartMenu will
- run from the WBStartup drawer.
-
- 2. If this is the first time you are using StartMenu use the Install_New
- script.
-
- You must use one of the supplied install scripts! This is because there are
- two different versions of the "main.pref" file (one for pre-OS 3.0 users and
- one for OS 3.0+ users). The install script will install the correct version!
-
- StartMenu does not create any assigns or anything, so uninstalling StartMenu
- is very simple - just delete the StartMenu directory.
-
- Later!
