  87. In the recent weeks I have received some reports from various
  88. sources concerning problems with disappearing mouse pointers.
  89. Each time there was mention of a mouseblanker type program as
  90. FracBlanker or QMouse.  The reports also said the problem
  91. occurred only with BootX.
  92.  
  93. THIS IS NOT A BUG IN BOOTX.  BootX uses the ReqTools library for
  94. all its mouse pointer management.  Apparantely it is the only
  95. program to do so.  BUT since there are no problems with the
  96. official Commodore MouseBlanker commodity the problem has to be
  97. found in the higher mentioned mouse blanker programs and not in
  98. ReqTools.  Contact the respective authors about this problem.  I
  99. only got reports about these two programs but that does not mean
  100. that other mouse blanker program don't have the same problem.

  102. - IMPORTANT: The telephone and fax number of SHI Headquarters in 
  103.   Denmark have changed. See the BootX.doc file for the new numbers.

  105. - BUG FIX: Apparently the Show Brain requester still suffered
  106.   from the 'mysterious string gadget' syndrom.

  108. - BUG FIX: BootX did not recognize an edited filter path.

  110. - BUG FIX: Reading an unformatted or erroneous disk sometimes
  111.   caused an Enforcer read hit.

  113. - BUG FIX: Fixed the ARJ archive recognition.

  115. - BUG FIX: There were some problems with the BootX.config file
  116.   when running BootX in an other language than English.  This has
  117.   been fixed.  As a result all users running BootX in a language

  122.   sensible built-in default settings.

  200.   A3000...(Please, no mail on this programmers frustration !)

  202. - BUG FIX: The title bar of the BBLib ListRequester showed a wrong
  203.   entry count.

  205. - BUG FIX: There were some problems with the integrity of the
  206.   several preference gadgets of no settings file was found.

  208. - CHANGE: All BBLib requester have the same width now.

  264.   decrunch Library Imploded files.

  266. - NEW: The first toolbox utility called Filter. With it you can
  267.   created a filter containing path names that BootX should ignore
  268.   when checking your files. Normally you put only paths in here
  269.   that contain only data files like the Include or FD directories
  270.   of programmers or the Fonts directory.

  273. - NEW: New checkbox gadget in the Check Files Preference requester.

  322. - EXPLANATION: BootX launches during its run a small do-nothing
  323.   task called 'SnoopDos'. It is a simple but effective counter
  324.   measure against an old PowerPacker 3.2 trojan horse. The task
  325.   does absolutely nothing and uses no CPU time at all. When BootX
  326.   quits, this task is removed. This task will not be launched if
  327.   a real SnoopDos is already running nor will it prevent a real
  328.   SnoopDos from being run.
